Full Cancellation Policy and Payment Terms & Conditions
A deposit is required to secure your booking.
There is no NHS funding for hygiene appointments. This is a private service and a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
Private dental treatment
For appointments longer than 30 minutes a deposit of £50 per half hour is required. Deposits are deducted from the balance payable for your treatment.
Fair Notice Policy
Missed appointments deny other patients access to care; therefore we operate a fair notice policy to enable us to look after as many of our patients as possible.
Need to re-schedule or cancel?
As a courtesy to patients waiting for appointments please give us at least 48 WORKING HOURS’ NOTICE to move an appointment lasting up to 1 hour, and at least 72 WORKING HOURS’ notice for longer appointments. If sufficient notice is provided, your deposit will be re-allocated to your re-scheduled appointment.
We do understand that sometimes emergencies come up and schedules change at the last minute. If you are unable to provide the notice outlined above the following apply:
PRIVATE TREATMENTS – Your deposit will be lost. A charge of £1/minute is made for all appointments which are missed or moved with less than 48 hours.
NHS TREATMENTS - NHS funding is limited and we have a waiting list of patients. If you do not provide 48 hours’ notice and/or miss 2 appointments, NHS care will no longer be available to you. NHS England will be notified and you will be asked to make other arrangements for your care. A list of other NHS dentists is available from reception.
William Place Dental & Cosmetic Practice does not offer credit and we require payment balances to be settled at each appointment. Where treatment incurs a laboratory fee, at least 50% of the total fee is due at the appointment where impressions are taken. Fees for Dental Implants, Invisalign teeth straightening and other advanced services are taken in stages with prior agreement.
Finance is available for treatments over £1000 and a minimum deposit may also be required. Finance agreements must be accepted and signed before treatment commences.
NHS band 2 and band 3 treatment
For NHS bands 2 and 3, full payment is required at the time of booking treatment. We regret that we are no longer able to schedule appointments without advance payment.
